Shopify’s is one of the most popular e-commerce solutions out there. It’s mass appeal is due to it’s simplicity.

Yet there typically lies the problem found when trying to use Shopify as a vehicle for Organic traffic growth. It’s very simple… sometimes too simple.

To compete with the big players who use more complex or malleable platforms like Salesforce, Magento or even Woocommerce a considered approach to structure, product pages & site features as a whole is needed.

It’s all possible though – I’ve successfully supported in the implementation of various e-commerce mechanisms of Related categories, Sub collection links and essentially created a architecture despite Shopifys limitations in doing so.

Including a proper hreflang implementation that does not need to essentially mass output assumed URL’s and cause lots of problems down the line.
